Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture is famous for the Takarazuka Revue. Takarazuka is also a thriving tourist destination, famous for its “Daihonzan Nakayama-dera Temple” for prayers for safe delivery, “Seiarajin Seichoji Temple” dedicated to the god of fire and the god of cooking, and its hot springs, and in recent years has attracted attention as the birthplace of the Wilkinson brand. The Takarazuka Osamu Tezuka Memorial Museum was established in 1994 to honor Osamu Tezuka, who spent his childhood in Takarazuka. The museum’s library, which has access to approximately 2,000 books of Tezuka’s works, and the animation workshop, where visitors can experience the creation of animations, are also popular.

The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum was established in Takarazuka City, where Tezuka spent the first 20 years of his childhood. In the museum, which recreates the world of Tezuka’s works, visitors can learn about the deep connection with Takarazuka and Tezuka’s personality through the characters, items related to Tezuka Osamu, and materials related to his works. Visitors can also view original videos and experimental animations at “Atom Vision”. The library, where visitors can read almost all of Tezuka’s works, is also not to be missed.
